Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui seberapa besar implementasi alat bantu papan luncur terhadap kemampuan renang gaya bebas. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi experiment design dan design yang digunakan adalah design prettest-posttest control group dengan pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik Sampling sistematis, populasi semua kelas X MIPA dan hasil pengambilan sampel mendapatkan dua kelas yaitu MIPA 1 (kelas control) dan MIPA 6 (kelas experiment). Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes menggunakan rublik penilaian. Hasil pada penelitian ini adalah terdapat peningkatan kemampuan renang gaya bebas pada kelas control dan kelas experiment. Hasil dari penelitian bahwa ada peningkatan dari keduanya tetapi kelas experiment lebih meningkat dibandingkan kelas control, kelas control dengan nilai rata-rata pretest 60% dan posttest 70% meningkat 3% dan kelas experiment dengan nilai rata-rata pretest 61% dan posttest 73% meningkat 12%.
